A jewel of primitive Gothic in Portugal, the Royal Abbey of Santa Maria includes the magnificent Gothic tombs of the two lovers D. Pedro I and Inês de Castro, who starred in the most beautiful and tragic love story during the Middle Ages in Portugal.
During the visit, we will pass through the Sala dos Reis, in which we will observe magnificent tile panels from the 18th century that portray the beginning of the construction of the monastery, continuing to Cloister D. Dinis, Sala do Chapter, Kitchen and Refectory, taking us to discover the secrets of the monks of the Cistercian Order.
